In
1995
, Jana and I visited Southern California. We stayed three nights at the four-star Hyatt Regency Alicante in Anaheim and received an upgrade to a suite when we checked in late and the hotel was out of regular rooms. We visited Disneyland, Universal Studios, the Santa Monica Pier, the Strand, and did alot of sightseeing in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and up and down the Pacific Coast Highway. We also took a wrong exit and ended up in Watts after dark....we got outta there quick!

1996
was a busy year for our family. We built a new home in the summer and in the winter we took the ultimate vacation....we went to
Maui, Hawaii
for three weeks! As you can probably imagine, it was an unbelievable way to spend Christmas and New Years!!! Besides the beautiful beaches and sunsets, other highlights of our trip include a great Luau at the Maui Marriott, a snorkeling trip to the
Molokini
islet (where I was able to swim with a Monk Seal), and I even learned to surf while on Maui! The home we stayed at was on the Kaanapali Championship Golf Course and was only a block from the beach. It was an amazing vacation which we will never forget!

Also in 1996, we spent a week in Hell's Canyon, Idaho with Jana's Uncle Alan. He is a professional outfitter, guide, jetboat captain, and the owner of
Mainstream Outdoor Adventures
based in Lewiston, Idaho. Over the years, we have been fortunate enough to take several trips with Alan and we
always
enjoy ourselves. I even caught a six-foot sturgeon on one trip!
In
1997
, my brother Scott and I won a trip to Vegas to see the second
Evander Holyfield
/Mike Tyson Heavyweight Championship fight. This was the fight in which Tyson was disqualified for biting
BOTH
of Holyfield's ears! We couldn't believe it either!. After the "fight", Scott and I snuck into the celebrity lounge at the MGM Grand Garden and mingled among stars from sports, movies, and TV.
Recently, Jana and I visited San Francisco for four days. There is so much to see and do there that we couldn't fit it all in.

In April of
2002
, Jana and I celebrated our tenth wedding anniversary by spending eight wonderful days in Cancun, Mexico at the all-inclusive Gran Caribe Real Resort & Spa. What a beautiful place with many amazing attractions. We snorkeled on two different reefs and saw some incredible sea life including barracuda, sting rays, sharks, sea turtles and various multi-colored fish. We went para-sailing in the Caribbean Ocean where we were pulled by a speed boat while wearing a parachute which lifts you about 200' in the air for the duration of the ride (really fun). I rented a jet-ski and raced around the bay side of the ocean...that's North towards the Gulf of Mexico. We went to some great dance clubs...the best was "Senor Frogs". The highlight of the trip was swimming with dolphins, it was incredible! They are so intelligent and loving. They push and pull you around the water, they are very interactive. The ocean water is crystal clear and beautifully reflects the blue sky. The white sand never gets hot, just a little warm. It's really fine and feels like walking in sugar. It was a great trip....would love to go back someday!

over Memorial Day weekend to see
Jimmy Buffett
in concert at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. There were

parties all weekend and we had perhaps our best Vegas trip yet. If you don't know what a
