History:  It is one of the Y's oldest and longest races.  The YMCA started this race to promote fitness, the YMCA, and to provide the community with a marathon distance race.  The YMCA had several sponsors for this race.  The current sponsor is the Idaho Potato Commission.  The first year had about 300 participants.  It peaked out at 1800 participants.
