Ravens Nest Murals and Wall Treatments

 

This mural was done for a private residence in Scottsdale in order to unify a variety of colors throughout aa large living area. The mural was also designed to disquise the cabinets and entertainment center in the wall. The mural is 13' high and 20' wide, is executed with acrylic paint and sealed with an acrylic sealer. The wall faces the southwest, picking up and diffusing the afternoon light and fading to soft interior lighting with the sunset.

This mural was done for the Harkins Theatre at Los Arcos Mall. Initially created by the Kirsten Brothers Art Studio, the mural was restored and additional square footage (shown) was added by the Ravens Nest Studio in 1988. This section measured 20' high and 10' wide. The mural was constructed out of three dimensional letters, acylic paint and sealed for protection with two coats of polyurethane varnish.

When Los Arcos mall was razed, this mural was transported to the Harkins Theatre office complex in Scottsdale.

 

 This mural was done for a private residence in Northwest Phoenix. The mural is executed in flat, interior latex paint and sealed with an acylic matte sealer. The cowskull and the sun were constructed of masonite and aluminum attached with screw -in mollies and construction adhesive. The mural is 8' high and 15' wide.
