"The Chandler Mammoth" and other Brownlines

A Brownline or a sepiatone is a reproduction made from a final preliminary sketch to be transfered into a painting or drawing. Brownlines have an old world qualityabout them and they became very popular at "Dinofest" so I have since made copies of all my complete preliminary sketches and sell them for $12.00 apiece. The Chandler Mammoth is the featured brownline at the moment, but you may E-mail me for a list of other available brownlines. The reproductions are all 18"x 22' unframed and are mailed rolled up in a mailing tube.

The Chandler Mammoth was located in July 1997 during the trenching of a new subdivision in Chandler, Arizona. Pliestocene in age, found with the bones were other mammoth remains as well as tortoise shell and other unidentified remains of flora and fauna.

I'm now happy to include the artwork that I was commissioned to create for Kartchner Caverns State Park.

Kartchner Caverns is a wonderful series of living caves that were dicovered in the mid -seventies in southern Arizona just south of Bensen,AZ. The park was opened in November of 1999 and I was asked to illustrate the Pennsylvanian sealife found in the Naco formation that sits on top of the Caverns. Please click on the crinoid illustration below to see a large version of all the drawings.
