Jerry Cowley loves to tell stories from the Old
West, and specializes in stories about Idaho. She promotes the
gathering and telling of family history and stories so that families
can pass their own unique heritage to their children. Folktales from several pioneer heritages enliven her
repertoire.
A published writer of news articles, essays, reviews, some poetry and
lyrics, Ms. Cowley began active storytelling in 1992. She brings
experience from reporting, teaching, and library careers to her
history as a fourth-generation Idahoan. Together they blend into a
connection between audiences and the past.
She has a Bachelor of Arts degree with six separate language arts
endorsements plus a librarian's certificate.
