The purpose of the
Guild of
Idaho Storytellers (G.I.S.T.) is to promote the art of oral
storytelling, a
tradition of increasing interest in an age of electronic entertainment.
Storytelling combines the power of oral communication with the magic of
imagination to inspire young and old. Our stories preserve history and
culture, entertain audiences, and teach in
the most basic and memorable fashion.
