The Armor of God: Ephesians Chapter 6:10-17.

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.
11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

    Who gives the christian the ability to stand against the devil?
      Eph. 1:19-23. and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
      These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
      which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
      far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
      And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,
      which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
      Luke 10:17-20. The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name"
      And He said to them, "I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.
      "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you."
      "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven."
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.
14 Stand firm therefore, HAVING GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,
    What is the truth?
      Eph. 1:12-13. to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.
      In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation -- having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
      John 1:14&17. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
      For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.
      John 14:6. Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me."
      John 14:16-17. "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
      that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you."
    Who enables the christian to attain righteousness?
      Eph. 4:20-24. But you did not learn Christ in this way,
      if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
      that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,
      and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
      and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
      Romans10:9-10. that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
      for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
      1 Cor. 1:30 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,
15 and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE;
    Who has prepared the christian with the Gospel of Peace?
      Eph. 1:12-14. to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.
      In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation -- having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
      who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory.
      Matt. 4:23. Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.
      Mark 1:14-15. Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,
      and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."
16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
    Who is the christians faith to be in?
      Eph. 1:15-16. For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints,
      do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers;
      Eph. 2:8-10. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;
      not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
      John 6:29. Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent."
      Romans 5:1-2. THEREFORE, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
      through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
      Gal. 3:22-25. But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
      But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed.
      Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
      1 John 3:23. This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
17 And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
    Who provides the christian the path to salvation?
      Eph. 1:3-9. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
      just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love
      He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,
      to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
      In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace
      which He lavished on us. In all wisdom and insight
      He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him
      Eph. 2:1-10. AND you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
      in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
      Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
      But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
      even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
      and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
      so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
      For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.
      Luke 2:30-32. For my eyes have seen Your salvation,
      Which You have prepared in the presence of all peoples,
      A LIGHT OF REVELATION TO THE GENTILES, And the glory of Your people Israel.
      Luke 19: 9-10. And Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because he, too, is a son of Abraham.
      "For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost"
      John 3:14-17. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up;
      so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life.
      For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
      For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
      Hebrewsw 5:7-9. In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the One able to save Him from death, and He was heard because of His piety.
      Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.
      And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,
    Who is the word of God?
      Eph. 1:13-14. In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation -- having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise,
      who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of His glory.
      John 1:1-5. IN the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.
      All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
      In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.
      The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
      Col. 3:16-17. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
      Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.
      Rev. 19:11-16. And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.
      His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.
      He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
      And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.
      From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.
      And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS."

Jesus Christ is to have the preeminence in all things because He is the head of the church. We are the body of Christ, and we are to honor Christ in all ways (Col. 1:9-18). Because Christ is to be preeminent in our lives and because Christ is our mediator to God, it only stands to reason that Jesus Christ is the Armor of God. If we have Christ as the center of our life, we are putting on the Whole Armor of God each and every day.

    1 Tim. 2:5-6. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
    who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.

I give praise to the Lord, our Lord, Jesus Christ, and thanks to God the Father who loves us with greater love then we can ever return. I thank God for his son Jesus through whom we have been provided our salvation and a place in the Fathers home. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
